About Me

My name is Aravind A. Harber, and I am honored to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in Indiana, advocating for children who need a voice in the legal system. My commitment to this work is deeply personal — I am adopted, and I grew up navigating the challenges of my parents’ divorce. These experiences have given me a unique perspective and deep empathy for children facing complex family situations. I understand firsthand the importance of having a compassionate, steadfast advocate who prioritizes the child’s best interest above all else.

With over two years of experience as a CASA volunteer and several active GAL cases, I combine professional training with lived experience to guide my work. My approach is grounded in integrity, patience, and empathy, ensuring that every child I serve feels heard, protected, and valued. I work diligently to provide clear, unbiased recommendations that assist the court in making informed decisions for the child’s welfare.

My Christian faith is central to my mission, inspiring me to serve with compassion and fairness. It strengthens my resolve to act with humility and grace, even in difficult circumstances, and to uphold the dignity of every child and family I work with.

In each case, I strive to foster collaboration among families and courts, promoting healing and stability. It is a privilege and a responsibility that I embrace wholeheartedly, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families throughout Indiana.
